Moncader Farm vineyards are located on the hills of Moncader Mountain, on a rocky terrain with a steep slope. The characteristics of this land complicated the recovery of the old vineyard, together with the construction excavation operations.
The recovery operations lasted for two years, and were often interrupted or slowed down by landslides. Furthermore, we built an underground network in order to drain the water during the periods of heavy rainfalls, thus avoiding the erosion of the fertile ground that cover the rocks.
The strategical position of the company, which is located on the prosecco di Valdobbiadene superiore Cartizze area, allows the production and sale of a Valdobbiadene DOCG (spumante, sparkling and sparkling with natural fermentation) in a limited number of bottles (50.000).
Moncader Farm personally attends all of the production phases of our Grappa of Prosecco, a unique product with unmistakable scents and tastes, produced according to traditional methods.
This distillate is obtained from the marcs of our grapes.
The altitude at which Moncader is located (470 meters above sea level) allows the production of a wine with unique traits, which are the typical traits of that area.
The location also reduces the need to use plant protection products on our vineyards, thanks to the breezy weather and the exposure, which creates a low humidity microclimate, thus reducing the proliferation of parasites.
